He has worked in both the school setting as well as an outpatient and in-home therapist. He was Assistant Director at Hi-Step, a Summer program helping children on the Spectrum improve their social skills. Joel understands the stressors that many kids are going through as a result of his experience in working in schools and his knowledge of how social media affects many teens.
He has worked with many students who have both IEP’s and 504’s and worked with the schools and families to best fit his client’s needs. Joel works with children and adolescents starting at age 5 up until they graduate college and will then help them focus on career counseling. Indirectly, through his work with students, he is working with families as well. Joel works with many students who are on the spectrum as well as teaching them skills to cope with their ADHD. He also helps many students dealing with the anxiety brought on by school.
